Word on the street that Toshiba Thrives is ready to receive a new firmware upgrade to Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS, which was supposed to roll last month but it got delayed to due unknown factors.
Firmware build number 126.96.36.199.5.0002 is now rolling for Thrive tablet upgrading its operating system from Android 3.1 version to Android 3.2. We recommend you to download and install it as soon as possible.
Release 188.8.131.52.5.0002 highlights:
- Enables an improved compatibility mode enhancing the way applications originally designed for smaller screen devices appear and function on the larger tablet display.
- Improves screen rotation acceleration.
- Adds extended screen support API, giving developers more precise control over the user interface across a range of Android-powered devices.
