According to Eurodroid, Motorola prepares a Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread firmware upgrade which is already reported rolling over the air (OTA) in Germany via Vodafone and to unlocked devices in Northern (Nordic) countries.
Motorola Atrix firmware upgrade will start early next week for the rest of the European countries. The update will roll as usual in waves (gradually) until it reaches all Atrix smartphones.
“The upgrade to Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) is now rolling out over-the-air for Vodafone ATRIX owners in Germany and retail ATRIX owners in the Nordics. We are rolling out in stages and other countries will begin to receive the update early next week. The update brings a number of great new features such as additional security, new and improved touchscreen and improved power management. For more information please visit:www.motorola.com/update or www.motorola.com/myatrix. You may also go to Menu > Settings > About Phone > System Update to download the upgrade over WiFi.“
This firmware was already scheduled by Motorola Mobility for the mid-November and it looks like the handset manufacturer kept its promise delivering it in time.
