Toshiba finally make’s it official for its 7-inch Thrive a follow-up of the 10.1-inch Android tablet introduced earlier this year.
The 7-inch tablet is almost similar to the 10.1-inch except its smaller and comes with mini USB and HDMI ports (while the original Thrive has full-sized ports) and a micro card slot. The tablet will be available as early as December and it will come like its bigger brother in 2 versions a 16GB and a 32GB, both sporting same 1280*800pixel display, Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system and a NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor.
While Samsung is already on the market with its 7-inch Galaxy Tab and further more is preparing for a 8.9-inch this October, Acer, Dell, and other are offering the same sized slates, Toshiba is hoping to make a hit out of its new Honeycomb device.
I find it strange that there isn’t any word about its pricing details since its been made official, but we expect it to arrive on shelves somewhere around the sum of $400 or less. Would you get a Toshiba 7-inc h Thrive with all mini ports, 3.2 Honeycomb, and 1280x800p display for less than $400, I know would if I compare it to what my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7-inch is offering for about the same price?
