Rumor: Sprint to go live with its LTE Network in first quarter of 2012

Word on the street is that Sprint is preparing for an early launch next year of its 4G LTE Network. According to CNET the US carrier is already deploying its LTE equipment and has been field testing the network in several places across the United States, although it’s not been stated where. The company hopes to launch commercial service somewhere in the first quarter of 2012 if not delayed to the second quarter.

According to the same source it’s not really clear if the LTE network will go live nationwide or only in a few select areas, spreading from there across the whole country.
