The weekend has arrived, along with this week’s round-up, the “Week in Review @PocketDroid.” This past week was quite interesting, and I’m going to share the most important articles with you.
We started this week with the Gingerbread update for the Samsung Fascinate. Here’s a cut from the story:

Telus is rolling a new firmware update Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread version PTLKH2 for Fascinate and you can download it directly from Telus website because its not available over the air (OTA), dont bother checking you wont get it that way. Full story
After that we spotted some images of a Motorola tablet. Here’s what we said:
A blurry photo surfaced today displaying an unknown device branded with Motorola logo and according to rumors it’s the upcoming 7-inch Android tablet from Motorola Mobility, a device mentioned by the CEO, Sanjay Jha a few times in the past. Full article
We found out that the Samsung Nexus S 4G got the Android 2.3.7 update. Here’s a part from the story:

Then, we heard that the Samsung released the kernel sources for the Galaxy S2. In our words:

We spotted a couple photos of an upcoming smartphone from LG, the LG Optimus EX. Here’s a cut from the article:

Sony released an update for their Android tablet, the Sony Tablet S. Here’s the story in short:
Sony Tablet launched almost a week ago in United Kingdom and if you got one by now you need to know that Sony is already rolling that promised update to 3.2 Honeycomb, as their tablet came out of the box with Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system. Click here for the full story
