Meizu could launch the first smartphone with quad-core processor October 1st


The Meizu MX (M9) will launch on October 1st on Chinese National Day, in two internal storage flavors, a 16GB of internal memory with a A9 dual-core processor and a high-end 32GB version with a quad-core processor. Meizu MX also comes equipped with a 4-inch touchscreen, 960×640 display resolution which reaches density of 292 PPI.

According to the Chinese handset maker, the screen on the MX will sport an aspect ratio of 3:2, and they’re claiming that the width is comparable to a 4.3-inch touchscreen of devices that are out today. The phone dimensions of Meizu MX are 63 x 121 x 10 mm and it will run with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Pricing of Meizu MX is 2999 RMB ($470) for the 16GB version and 3999 RMB ($629) for the 32GB version.
