Qualcomm has a series of Innovation events held throughout the Middle East, we heard of LG Univa at the event held in India, now we hear of a next-generation 2.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor unveiled in Turkey, Istanbul earlier this week.
The new S4 class chipset will sport Adreno Graphics, 3D, 1080p HD, and will offer support for 3G and LTE connectivity as standard.
The new Snapdragon lineup will arrive in first quarter of 2012 and will also come in a variety of forms: such as single, dual and quad-core, all clocked to 2.5GHz, making them about twice as powerful as all current market leaders. This announcement comes in a response to Nvidia’s future line-up of chipsets leaked in a roadmap a few days ago.
We are expecting first previews of future handsets equipped with Qualcomm’s technology somewhere in February 2012 at the Mobile World Congress.
