Sharp launches another 3D smartphone bound to Japan’s carrier SoftBank


Sharp is on its path to launch a second 3D smartphone for Japanese market through local carrier, SoftBank. This new 3D model from Sharp makes it the fourth 3D smartphone after HTC EVO 3D, LG Optimus 3D (LG Thrill) and Sharp Lynx 3D.

The new 3D Aquos phone model number SH8298U has a very chic look, and its close to Nexus One design if you ask me. Aquos has some pretty impressive hardware specifications featuring a 4.2-inch qHD 3D glasses-free display with a 540x960p resolution display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor clocked at 1.4GHz with a Adreno 205 GPU graphics chipset, 512MB of RAM, 2GB of internal memory storage,  two 8MP cameras, the one on the back is capable of recording 3D videos 720p HD (1280x800p), a standard Li-on battery of 1240 mAh and all this powered by Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread. SH8298U weighs about 139 grams and it will be available in 2 colors purple and white.
