Toshiba is likely to feature a new tablet at the IFA, in Berlin as the Japanese manufacturer never missed an event without announcing a new model for the last 3 years.
According to our friends from Notebook Italia, this new slate is ready to compete against its fellow rivals Samsung and Apple. Besides this three images we’ve got word of the sleek and ultra-thin design, an impressive touchscreen display and a whole bunch of micro ports (HDMI, USB, microSD) which unfortunately Galaxy Tab lacks.
Since we dont have more information and there is no official or unofficial confirmation about this device we will keep this news as a gossip until further developments. Stay tunned in for more!
Update: We now know the name of this tablet it will launch under the codename Toshiba Excite. There are two pieces of information which lead us to it: one is the US trademark fillings from Toshiba America Information Systems for “EXCITE” under the class “Tablet Computers,” and second registration of domain names like ‘excitetablet.com,’ ‘excitetablet.net,’ toshibaexcite.com,’ ‘toshibaexcite.net,’ and ‘thetoshibaexcite.com’ by Toshiba and redirect to a Toshiba website (ip address).
