Sharp launches 7-inch Android tablet NFC enabled


Sharp announced today in a press event held in Japan, their latest Android-based tablet with NFC technology enabled for payments.

The RW-T107 powered by Texas Instruments OMAP4430 1GHZ processor, sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, 1024×600 pixels resolution display, with 512MB of RAM, equipped with 2 cameras, a 3MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera for video calls. The slate comes with 8GB internal memory storage. with a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), HDMI and  micro USB ports, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 (not the latest 3.0), GPS and a standard battery Li-on of 5400mAh.

Sharp RW-T107 with Android 2.3 Gingerbread slate. can read customers information or accept payments via Near-Field-Communication (NFC). We will expect RW-T107 to reach the market somewhere in early September, there is no information about its price tag nor an exact date of release.
