Here is a reality check, Samsung is not that happy after all with the announcement made on Monday morning by Google which acquired Motorola Mobility.

The chairman of Samsung Electronics, Lee Kun-hee called everyone in for alightning-fast meeting one day after the big announcement. He urged his company on Wednesday to step up efforts to develop its software competitiveness, even through mergers and acquisitions if necessary.

Lee emphasized that the “IT power” in the industry is now shifting from hardware companies like Samsung to software companies, pin-pointing at Google and its Android operating system .
