HTC Join Hands With Unionpay To Become The First Smartphone To Have Integrated Unionpay Mobile Capability in China


HTC and Unionpay (the only credit card processor in the country) have announced that they will be join hands in working together on the first Android smartphone for the Chinese market, which will process payments using Unionpay bankcard processing systems.

The HTC smartphone will be the first to have integrated this mobile capability, through the near-field-communication (NFC) tech inside to acomplish payments using the credit card processing network of Unionpay, and it is expected to hit China as early as September.

The Taiwanese manufacturer notes, that it has been developing the handset for over a year and has been working with Unionpay for about six months now.
