Masterimage a leading 3D company, unveiled a glasses-less 3D tablet based on Texas Instruments OMAP (Open Multimedia Application Platform) 4430 chip, to bring us an autostereoscopic 3D display for the first time on an tablet device.
The display of the tablet is based on Masterimage cell-matrix parallax barrier to display 3D images, which will enable hardware developers to use its glasses-less 3D technology to produce 3D tablets.
This technology allow users to view images in both portrait and landscape modes in both 2D and 3D, but the best part is that it can on several types of display including TFT, OLED and even plasma.
This tablet hasnt been officially launched, but it is already available among tablet developers in 4.3inch and 7inch display. The official release is set for this summer, said the Masterimage Company.
