ZTE will debut its sales of the Grand Era U985 in China. It is the first ZTE phone that features a quad-c0re processor and also the slimmest one to date.
The Grand Era U985 features a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, a 4.5 inch screen of HD resolution (1280 x 720p) and an 8M-pixel BSI AF HD camera. It runs on the slightly out-dated Android 4.0 and ZTE also claim that it will has 3D acceleration capacity. The body, as mentioned above, is incredibly thin at 7.9mm, but also has a bulge in the bottom of the back, which measures 8.6mm. Build quality aside, the mentioned bulge on the back and the camera placement slightly remind us of the design of the historic Samsung Galaxy S2.
Here’s what a ZTE executive has said about this smartphone:
“The Grand Era has opened the door to the quad-core era for ZTE smart phones,” said ZTE Executive Vice President Mr. He Shiyou. “We believe these products will produce a butterfly effect across the industry, domestically and abroad.”
At the expo, where this phone will be displayed, ZTE will also show us some more products, such as the Grand Era LTE, the Grand V970 and Grand U930.
