Samsung and LG are fierce competitors in the mobile world especially because both vendors originate from South Korea. While Samsung was busy announcing the GALAXY S3 on May 3rd, a day later LG introduced to the world the very first smartphone to sport 2GB of RAM - Optimus LTE2.
As the worlds first phone with 2GB of RAM and the follow-up of Optimus LTE (Nitro HD, Spectrum), Optimus LTE II is a powerful competitor for the likes of GALAXY S3 and HTC One X. Launched by LG on its domestic market earlier this week in black color, the phone will be available in white as well as you can see it pictured in a leaked photo above.
Equipped with Qualcomm’s 1.5GHz dual-core MSM8960 processor and 2GB of RAM LG Optimus LTE 2 it should reach lightning-fast speeds. It has a 4.7-inch True HD IPS (1280 x 720 p) display, 8MP camera, 16GB on-board storage expandable for up to 32GB via a microSD card slot, it is an NFC enabled device tha comes with a removable 2,150 mAh battery.
The phone runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and optionally customers will be able to buy a magnetic induction wireless charging system (WiFi charging pad).
