MIUI is known for their Android based ROMs that look like iOS. It has the same buildup: up to seven homescreens on which all the apps are displayed. MIUI has builds based on Gingerbread, ICS and Jelly Bean, for a huge variety of devices. Because it’s still Android, you can customize as you want with widgets and themes. Back in 2011 MIUI launched it’s first home-brand device, the MIUI M-1. Many were disappointed it won’t be shipped worldwide.
This year, on August 16th, the MIUI Mi-2 has been announced. It’s a beast, with impressive hardware specs. It has the known Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro, has a 4.3 inch 720 IPS display, 2GB of RAM and 16 GB memory. All this is powered by a 2,000mAh battery, which can be replaced by a stronger (and slightly thicker) 3,000mAh one. The device will run on the Jelly Bean based MIUI ROM.
Yesterday, the first unboxing photo’s of Xiaomi MI-2 appeared on the internet. As you can see the looks are good, it’s very dedicately designed. Along with impressive hardware, this could be a seller. The good news is that the MIUI Mi-2 will expectantly be shipped worldwide.
