Launched in mid-July in Taiwan, Sony has announced a few minutes ago US availability of the unlocked Xperia acro S, a 4.3 inch display smartphone with anti-splash coating. The acro S is available for US in both Ceramic White and Black for $599 from Sony’s . US network operators will not carry the device in the country (a little weird considering that this is a pretty good device which will see an upgrade to Android 4.1 soon).
Xperia acro S features a 4.3 inch (1280x720p HD) display, 1.5GHz dual core S4 processor, 16 GB storage, 1 GB of RAM, 12MP camera on the back and Android 4.1 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
