Just a few months after HTC has released their One series: the One X, One S and the One V, there are rumors of a brand new HTC device called ‘Proto’.
From the leaked specifications, the Proto looks like it is an upgraded version of the One V. It features a 4 inch WVGA SLCD display, a 5 megapixel camera, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage, 7.2 MBps HSPA and is a mere 9.62 mm thick. The Proto will feature a dual-core Qualcomm processor (MSM8225 of the Snapdragon S4 series) clocked at 1 GHz. HTC Proto is also rumored to have Beats integration but, that would be dependent on the equity realignment that took place between HTC and Dr. Dre Beats.
This new handset from HTC is supposed to release this fall (IFA could be the perfect place for a launch). So, keep an eye out for an HTC release during that period!
