Huawei Ascend P1 S Front Preview of the worlds thinnest handset Huawei Ascend P1 S

The ongoing fight between smartphone manufacturers for the thinnest smartphone, biggies like Samsung, HTC and LG have done their part in manufacturing dual-core’s and high bound camera phones, but it is the low-profile smartphone manufacturer like Huawei, who has dropped the big bomb on the Android scene by manufacturing the world’s thinnest smartphone till date — the Huawei Ascend P1 S.

Dropping the news bang on time, that is in the pre-CES event, Huawei revealed the Ascend P1 S with jaw dropping hardware specifications. Packing in a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, this has surely bagged a high margin amongst other smartphone comparison.

Flagged as the best display technology till time, the SA screen is enough to charm your eyes from a distance and combined with the might of qHD resolution of 960 x 540, what can you say! Measuring 6.68 mm in thickness, the P1 S beats Galaxy S II with a gap enough to put S II fanboys to shame.

Coming with Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, it also features the Huawei’s custom Android skin/interface (UI). The best part is the device comes in with almost stock vanilla user interface until Huawei thinks to add some more features or tweak it to their heart’s delight. It also comes with a 3 capacitive Back, Home and Menu buttons.

Moving onto some processor facts, this beast is a mix of 1.5 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4460 Cortex A9 and SGX 540 GPU, the GPU which also makes its way into the Galaxy Nexus and oldie Galaxy S. It also includes 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory storage (ROM), which frankly, lets down many smartphone users in terms of apps and media. On the back there is 8-megapixel sharp lenses with backside illuminated sensors for better low-light performance, dual-LED flashes, HDR effects and 1080p HD video capture. The P1 S also packs a 1.3-megapixel front-facing cameras with 720p video capabilities for video chat.

Awesome, brilliant specs all combined in one beast. For such heavy specs combined with power of Android 4.0, surprisingly, P1 S has a 1800 mAh battery, satiating people who are battery juice frenzied.
