Focusing more on manufacturing the Google Nexus 4 smartphone, LG Mobile left a bit behind its own 5 inch competitor against the GALAXY Note 2, however it has been rumored since November that a second generation Optimus G could arrive as early as January next year.
According to a source close to LG Mobile, the LG Optimus G2 will debut at CES 2013 sporting a Full HD 5.5 inch LCD display (440 ppi) and Qualcomm’s quad-core MSM8974 Snapdragon S4 Prime chipset clocked at 2GHz. The new 1080p technology which makes LG screens a lot thinner will be implemented on future 7 inch tablets. One such unit will be shown off during CES 2013 its been said that the screen has a 324 ppi (for example Nexus 7 screen has a density of 216 ppi). The same technology will equip future 4.7 inch LG smartphones next year.
