LG Electronics entered the tablet market earlier this year with their first Android device called Optimus Pad or better known to the public as the G-Slate.

Apparently, LG plans to launch a second tablet in early January 2012 as the mass-production process is now complete. Meanwhile PocketNow got their hands-on a blurry photo of it. Now we bring you some inside details about its hardware specifications and the name under which the device will see a release next year.

Once launched LG Optimus Pad LTE will become the world’s first LTE 3D Android device, said Kim Won Sr Vice President of Sales and Product Marketing at LG Electronics. The slate got its nickname “Batman Pad” from the two lenses mounted on the back, top left side that look like the comic book/cartoon character sign representing Batman.

Optimus Pad LTE features an 8.9-inch WXGA touch screen display with  (1280×800 pixels resolution), powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core (not quad-core) processor and it runs on Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system, which might be upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich soon after its official release but this is not from official channels so it’s not confirmed yet.

LG Electronics also plans to launch a 5.0-inch Android device (LG F100S) in 2012 as its Asian competitors such as Pantech Sky launched Vega No 5,  Samsung has the Galaxy Note (5.3-inch) already on sale and Lenove recently introduced LePad2005A.

LG F100S will sport a 5.0-inch XGA revolutionized True HD IPS display  (1024×758 pixels resolution), powered by a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, GPU Adreno 220 chipset  and with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS.
