Chinese customers who want to purchase the first Intel Atom powered Android smartphone — Lenovo K800 can do so, because the device is now open for pre-orders in China starting at 3299 (about $520 USD). Lenovo K800 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system by Google and according to a chinese retailer it will start shipping in June.
K800 has a 4.5 inch 720p HD IPS display with a wide viewing angle (720 x 1280 p) screen resolution. The phone can easily play 1080p HD videos, supporting dozens of video formats like H264HP/MPEG2/MPEG-4/WMV9/RMVB. Equipped with Intel Atom unique dual-core Hyper-threading technology (32nm) chipset clocked at 1.6GHz with 1GB of RAM, 8 MP main camera and PowerVR SGX540 GPU.
