Recent online reports surface Huawei’s strategy for 2012, where Chinese handhelds manufacturer has plans to launch its own high-end mobile series dubbed Diamond. More and more handset makers around the globe announce 2012, as the year of quality not quantity. Up until now Huawei was linked with low to mid-range Android devices but not anymore.

Huawei officially debuts the new Diamond series at the Mobile World Congress (MWC2012) next month in Barcelona.

Huawei launched its very first high-end Android smartphone at the annual international Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas where the firm announced two such devices the Ascend P1 and P1 S which right now is the thinnest gadget in the world at its 6.68mm breaking Motorola’s Droid RAZR record.

With such impressive hardware specifications on the Ascend P1, we can not stop wondering about Huawei limits this year. What else should we expect?
