It’s a really bad news for HTC Desire HD owners and it kinda makes me feel bad writing it, because I am among those customers that didn’t receive ICS OS on his device (GALAXY Tab 7 in my case) and I know how frustrating this is.
HTC officially cut Desire HD from the list of handsets which are scheduled for a software update to Ice Cream Sandwich. Here’s what they had to say on their blog:
“After extensive testing, we’ve determined that the current version of HTC Sense with Android provides customers with the best experience on the HTC Desire HD. When we consider new versions of software, we weigh a number of factors, but ultimately the customer experience on the product is the deciding factor. We apologize for any confusion this change may have caused our customers.”
Anyways, at least now the “ping-pong” game is over, there will be no rumors whether or not the DHD gets the firmware upgrade.
