Google has officialy unveiled minutes ago its first Android tablet under the Nexus brand at Google I/O 12. The Google Nexus 7 tablet is the first device to runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system also announced today.
Google Nexus 7 features a 7-inch Back-lit IPS touch screen with 1280 x 800p HD display (216 ppi) made of Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The tablet weighs only 340 grams making it very light-weight in your hands, measures in at 10.45mm thick, 1.2MP front facing camera (no shooter on the back). Additionally the Nexus 7 tablet is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 (4-Plus-1) chipset, 1GB of RAM, WiFi, GPS, NFC (Android Beam) and a 4325 mAh battery which gives us up to 8 hours of active use.
Nexus 7 will be available both in black and white variants of colour and in two different built-in memory storage models 8 GB, respectively 16GB.
