Google IO 121 Google I/O 2012 and What to Expect!

The tech giant’s fair is starting today and will go on till 29th, three days instead of the regular two-day conference. The tech world has been ablaze with rumors about various new tricks which Google has up it’s sleeve this time!

Most discussed and rumored are the news of Google’s own tablet and Android’s next iteration, apart from this major upgrades, Google’s Google Plus will also have it’s share along with the new Google Maps and integration of Google Chrome browser.

Google Nexus Tablet:

Google’s Executive Chairman revealed last year about a pure Nexus tablet which would be churned right out of Google’s forge. This has been highly rumored, the Nexus Tablet, which is rumored to be have made by Asus. The rumored specifications include a display featuring a resolution of 768 x 1280, Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex A9 processor and Nvidia ULP GeForce GPU. The price of Google Nexus 7 set to be kept at a minimum as the brand will not include 3G connectivity, and only Wi-Fi for connectivity. The tablet will also be without a rear camera with only a front-facing camera for video calling.

Android Jelly Bean:

The Android OS is getting a new upgrade at the Google IO ’12 called the Android Jelly Bean also iterated as Android 4.1. The former Android OS is Android 4.0. The rumor mills says that the new OS is just a minor upgrade over the 4.0, as Ice Cream Sandwich was itself a new breakthrough and brought many changes from Android 3.0(Gingerbread). There maybe a possible integration of Google’s browser Chrome and the highly anticipated new Google Maps.

There are possibilities of Google Drive, Google TV and a new Google Play, this year’s I/O is the most anticipated developer conference arranged. For more breaking news and live updates on the Google I/O, please keep in touch with our twitter handle and the live blogging.
