Announced by Nvidia’s chairman Jen-Hsun Huang back in January at CES 2012 in Las Vegas, Eee Pad MeMo 370T by Asus is the first 7-inch tablet to sport the 1.2GHz Quad-core Tegra 3 processor.
A similar version of the Eee Pad MeMo launches on March 5 in Taiwan but with a different chipset a smaller 1.2GHz dual-core MSM8260 processor from Qualcomm.
This version has a 7″ WXGA (1280 x 800p) IPS display with 178-degree ultra-wide viewing angle, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, micro USB port, GPS, GSM Quad bands, HSPA+ and a 4400 mAh battery.
In addition the MeMO Pad comes with 16GB built-in memory storage, 1GB of RAM, 5MP camera in the back and a 1.2MP camera in front with 1080p video support for video calls, a gold-colored capacitive touch pen (stylus) accompanied by a MeMIC Bluetooth headset accessory (see photo above).
Pre-orders for MeMo Pad 171 opens February 24 and lasts until March 4th. The 7″ tablet runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS and will become available on March 5th in Taiwan for NT $17.900 (around US $605). See it in action in these couple of videos below.
