Great news for all Kindle Fire owners someone called Steven better known on XDA forums as , is working on a port of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
So far Steven managed to boot it up, made the touch screen work, the GPU acceleration works too. On the other hand there are a few things that needs to be fixed like the Audio support, WiFi connectivity is not yet functional, accelerometer and the light sensor are dead also. It’s a pre-alpha I would say but its building up nicely so if you know a thing or two about coding and want to help Steven out you’ll find him on XDA under the Kindle Fire development section.
