Acer is looking forward to make itself a stronger position in the smartphone industry by releasing more handsets next year, the company wasn’t that much active in that sector but the success of others like Samsung, Apple and Microsoft seems to have motivated them.
Acer has always been an important manufacturer of personal computers & tablets but their smartphone division never really managed to attract much interest. However their new move in this sector could send shock waves if their products catch the eye & hearts of customers.
The company is willing to release at least six new smartphones, five of them running the latest Android version and the remaining one will embrace Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8. High end devices among those six are reported to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 dual-core processors.
Digitimes’ reports that also mentioned that Acer’s smartphones will be manufactured mainly by ODMs Qisda and Compal.
