Samsung stops safe Galaxy Note 7 production

Over the last few days reports of new and presumably safe Galaxy Note 7 exploding in the hands of their owners (at least 3 new cases), as well as US carriers decision to stop the sales of this gadget altogether in the country, have lead to Samsung’s announcement made earlier this morning in Korea, when the company announced that “the halt is in cooperation with consumer safety regulators from South Korea, the United States and China. This measure includes a Samsung plant in Vietnam that is responsible for global shipments of the Galaxy Note 7,” a Samsung representative have said in the local press.

As bad as this news about the Galaxy Note 7 explosions is for Samsung Electronics, the company is reportedly expecting a profit of almost 7 billion dollars this third quarter.
