For a few years now, we’ve been hearing rumours about HTC working on releasing a smartwatch, and, year after year, their debut on the smartwatch segment hasn’t happened. However, this could change pretty soon, as several images depicting a what it looks to be an HTC branded smartwatch prototype, show a ready to launch wrist watch. If these images are for real, then its launch could be closer than we’ve imagined.
HTC’s alleged smartwatch depicted here reveals Under Armour logo, which means that there is a partnership in place with the fitness / sports related firm.
Specs-wise the rumour has it that HTC’s smartwatch will feature a fully circular (360 x 360 pixels screen resolution) display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor (which is 30% smaller in size), a heart rate sensor, as well as silicon-made wrist band seen in these photos. The watch is powered by Google’s already evolved Android Wear platform.
HTC’s smartwatch might be hitting the stores in time for the Winter Holidays, if not early next year. For more photos check the source below.
