There is a silent smartphone design war between HTC and Apple, ever since the American company changed its iPhone industrial design back in 2013-2014, the Taiwanese company accused on numerous occasion publicly Apple for copying its antenna design lines.
To get back at Apple, last year HTC released the so called ‘iPhone powered by Android‘ dubbed One A9, which copied in large proportions Iphone 6’s design.
This year, HTC is at it again, but this time the iPhone clone is even more perfect in terms of design, but also in naming scheme, too. According to Evan Blass, HTC is about to launch the ‘One A9 S’ this week at IFA 2016, in Berlin, a smartphone that loses its HTC branding at the front (just like the iPhone), it comes with a rounded camera at the back positioned to the left (its not in the middle anymore like we’ve seen it on the 2015 One A9) and it allegedly adopts the letter ‘S’.
There is little information about One A9S hardware specifications, as there hasn’t been any leaks, yet. But, we learn from the source, that it will feature 5MP (no more UltraPixel) and 13MP camera sensor at the back. Another feature is the colour, the One A9s will be available in Gold, Silver and Black.
HTC will likely unveil this smartphone at its press event which will be taking place at the end of this week in Germany.
