Asus will be launching its next-generation of ZenWatch smartwatch, probably a few days before IFA 2016 Berlin begins. It is going to be rounded and entirely made of metal.
With that in mind and from what we can gather from an FCC listing, a smartwatch identified as Asus ZenWatch 3, model number W1503Q has just passed through certification in the USA, which could mean only one thing. That Asus’ ZenWatch 3 is very close to an official launch.
At this time, there is little to almost nothing known about its specs, however, FCC hints at a rounded stainless steel smartwatch with fast charging as it features +5V/2A, 10W input and we are pretty sure that it will run on Google’s Android Wear platform for smartwatches with hands-free voice actions and gestures. We could also see the latest and 30% smaller chipset from Qualcomm inside the ZenWatch 3.
We will get back to you with more, once Asus announces the wearable device, unless more leaks will hit the internet before that happens.
Do you fancy a rounded smartwatch from Asus?
