It is that time of the year when AnTuTu (the most iconic benchmark application for mobile devices) releases the top 10 smartphones based on their performance. This year the dominant mobile makers are the Chinese companies.
AnTuTu’s Top 10 Smartphones by Performance was based on the following rules:
- Statistical source version :Antutu Benchmark V6.0
- Statistics method: was to take the average score of one device model, one chip model
- At least 2,000 data sample for one device’s score
- Statistic time: 1st, Jan ,2016 to 30th, June, 2016
As you can see in the image below, OnePlus 3 with its 6GB of RAM, it basically mops the floor with Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge and Apple’s iPhone 6S,. What it is even worse for manufacturers “outside” China, the top 5 is represented by Chinese mobile makers only.
Please note, that all of these devices are powered by the same chipset: Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820.
