After announcing April 6 as the date when Huawei will unveil its flagship smartphone and London as the city where it will happen, the Chinese OEM has released a new teaser image (above), which confirms Huawei P9 name as well as the dual lens camera on the back of the handset.
As you might have heard, Huawei struck recently a deal with German lens manufacturer Leica, and thus will equip its future smartphones with such high-quality lenses.
In terms of hardware specifications, the Huawei P9 is said to feature a 5.2″ Full HD display, Kirin 950 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM (internal storage), 3,000 mAh battery, 5 and 12MP cameras, with the 12 one sporting dual camera lenses by Leica and optical image stabilization.
The P9 will be released in more that one variant, as this is the standard model with Full HD screen. We expect Huawei to announce P9 Lite and a performance oriented larger model dubbed P9 Plus or P9 Max, with Quad HD display and 4GB of RAM.
