Well, isn’t this a real treat with less than a week before Mobile World Congress starts. Two of the most anticipated flagship smartphones of 2016 have been sighted up for sale in Dubai. LG Electronics’ upcoming G5 flagship and Samsung’s Galaxy S7 edge, both yet to be announced (on February 21), were for a little while for sale online costing a pretty penny.
Aside from being on sale even though none of these two up and coming bad boys have been released yet, the seller published several live images in which both; the LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge are shown off from the front and the back. We even get to take a look inside the S7 edge’s retail box, where among the usual by now accessories that ship with a Samsung Galaxy flagship phone, there’s also a dongle or is that an OTG cable of sorts?
Getting back to LG’s 2016 flagship handset, this is probably one of the closest look at the G5’s behind, which apart from the dual cameras the layout looks awfuly familiar – hint – Nexus 5X, do you agree? The LG G5 will likely sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, it will be equipped with a 5.3″ Quad HD display, expected to run Android 6.0.1 version, there is also a USB Type-C in the rumours, 8 and 16MP cameras too.
The Galaxy S7 edge on the other hand wil feature a 5.5″ Super AMOLED Quad HD display, but the same Snapdragon 820 chipset or Samsung’s Exynos 8890 processors (according to the market), expect 4GB of RAM, 32/64/128 GB variants all equipped with 5 and 12MP cameras, fingerprint reader and will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge will both be unveiled this Sunday, in Barcelona, in dedicated events held by the number #1 and #2 South Korean OEMs.
