Xiaomi introduces Mi Pad 2, with full metal body, Android Lollipop flavour and Intel Inside technology.
At a press event held earlier today in Beijing, China, Xiaomi announced its next-gen Mi Pad tablet powered by Android operating system, or should we cal it, the Chinese iPad.
Mi Pad 2 features an ultra-thin profile (only 6.95mm) made of anodized Aluminum. The new tab weighs in at 322 grams and it comes equipped with Intel’s 64-bit Atom X5-Z8500 processor built on 14nm.
Further specs include 2GB of RAM, 16 and 64GB of built-in storage, a gorgeous 7.9″ display with 2,048 x 1,536 screen resolution, a 6,190 mAh battery, USB Type-C connector, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and an 8MP camera sensor on the back, plus a 5MP front-facing cam.
Xiaomi will market the Mi Pad 2 in Dark Gray and Champagne Gold. Mi Pad 2 price point is a little under $160 for the 16GB model, about $205 for the 64GB variant.
