OnePlus X goes official, 2014 flagship specs, 2015 killer beauty (ceramic/glass built quality).
Today, OnePlus took the wraps off of its next smartphone, the OnePlus X, which is a classy mid-range device crafted with care because it features glass and ceramic.
OnePlus X screams style and elegance, but underneath there isnt enough power (not a flagship killer, but killer beauty) to take on the 2015 flagship phones. In fact, the phone feature 2014 flagship specs like the LG G3 or the Xperia Z3. The OnePlus X is ment to complement one’s outfit at an affordable price tag, rather than outperforming the competition.
OnePlus X feature a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM with a microSD card slot that acts as a second SIM slot as well, through which one can expand OnePlus X’s memory for up to 128GB.
Other specs include a 13MP main camera lens with wide-angle, 8MP front-facing camera for selfies, a 2,525 mAh battery, micro USB 2.0 port (no USB Type-C here, only on the OnePlus 2) and it runs on Oxygen OS, a custom ROM based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
OnePlus X will be available in Ceramic variant from November 24 and Onyx (glass back model) as of November 5th starting at 269 Euro / £199, but you’ll still require an invite to purchase it.
