At the end of September a rumour coming from a semi-reliable source on Twitter claimed to reveal “the list” of smartphones that HTC will likely upgrade to Marshmallow flavour in the coming months. That rumour had it right, now that we have the official list of devices from HTC.
Earlier this week, Taiwanese mobile maker announced which are the HTC smartphones due to receive Android 6.0 software update by the end of the year and, probably, through the first half of 2016. The list includes most of the One family series of smartphones, the Butterfly 3 and three Desire 800 series phones.
HTC One M8 and the One M9 owners will begin receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software update at the end of 2015 (probably in early to mid-December), while the rest of the handsets that you see mentioned in the above slide, will highly likely be pushed into 2016.
