Shown off recently by Fossil at Intel Developers Forum, the first smartwatch powered by Android Wear coming from the American designer and manufacturer of clothing and accessories (mainly watches, jewelry) could go on sale this autumn under the name Fossil Q.

Fossil revealed its plan to launch a smartwatch last year, the same time the company announced a partnership with Intel, and their intention to develop wearable tech.

Fossil Q name showed up at United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) recently linking it to a “Smart Watch” device capable of uploading and download mobile software.

Fossil Q looks a lot like Motorola’s upcoming Moto 360 2nd Gen smartwatch as it has a “flat tire” (black line at the bottom of its circular screen to hide the ambient light sensor) and an extended lug arrangement.
