Motorola announces two Moto G 3rd gen smartphone variants.

Motorola took the veil off of its 2015 mid-range smartphone Moto G 3rd Gen at in event in London, which will be available as of tomorrow in Europe. Moto G’s price tag in the UK starts at £279 via Moto maker and from £159 at local carriers and retail shops (see photo below for other European key market prices).


The Moto G 3rd Gen feature a 5″ HD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, with 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.4GHz coupled by Adreno 306 GPU.

Moto G 3rd Gen will be available for purchase with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage, but people will be able to buy a less expensive model with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card slot up to 32GB.

Moto G comes with a 13MP rear-camera with dual LED Flash, 5MP front-facing camera, a 2,070 mAh battery and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The mid-range device is IPX7 certified (water splash/rain proof) measures 11.6mm in thickness and weighs 155 grams. Thanks to Motorola’s online tool Moto Maker, customers (in countries where the Moto Maker is available) will be able to customize their phone case color.

At the same event today in London, Motorola introduced the Moto X Style and Moto X Play as well.
