Sony Mobile is acting really weird lately. First off, there wasnt any grand ceremony for the unveiling of the Xperia Z4, but rather a quiet event which took place in Japan, and secondly the company has just announced the Xperia Z3+ (Plus), which is actually a rebranding of the Z4 launched in the Japanese market, but ready for global release as of next month.
Sony Xperia Z3+ comes with a 5.2″ Full HD display and Triluminos technology, it is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor, it has 3GB of RAM, 20.7MP rear-facing camera with Exmor RS sensor and a 2,900 non-removable battery.
The Xperia Z3+ is pretty slim and sleek at its 6.9mm thinness in comparison to the Xperia Z3 from last year. The phone weighs only 144 grams and it retains all key design features trademark of Xperia series, including the water and dust resistance.
Sony says the Xperia Z3+ will go on sale globally from June. No word on the pricing.
