HTC One M8s goes on sale as of this month in the UK.
When HTC introduced for the first time last year, the HTC One M8, we’ve seen some interesting features like the dual UltraPixel camera system on the back, the BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers, the Snapdragon 801 processor, and lets not forget the beautifully crafted metal design. Well, this flagship has reached its end of life in early March, HTC announced at the time that a new version will take its place in 2015.
Today, HTC UK is announcing a revised variant of their flagship smartphone from 2014 (albeit One M9 has yet to come) dubbed HTC One M8s, which comes with a few upgrades/changes.
First off, both front and rear cameras have been replaced. The main camera, the one on the back consists now of 13MP Duo Camera, f/2.0, 28mm lens, with 1080p video recording, while the front facing camera sport a 5MP sensor.
Secondly, HTC One M8s has a new Qualcomm chipset, the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 clocked at 1.7GHz, which replaces the 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor (don’t let the frequency fool you) and there’s less internal storage on the new M8s, only 16GB model, but one will get to enjoy Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense UI out of the box and with HTC Eye experience included.
The HTC One M8s goes on sale as of this month (early April) in Gunmetal Grey from local mobile operators and major retailers in the United Kingdom, as well as on other key markets in Europe via htc.com website.
