Samsung announces Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge!
At today’s Samsung Unpacked 2015 event, which took place at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Samsung Electronics introduced the first luxurious smartphones in the Galaxy S series, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, both with an ultra-thin profile.
No surprise that Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge feature a Super AMOLED 5.1-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) with an amazing density 577ppi. The only difference here is the curved display on both left and right side. Both Galaxy S6 handsets pack 4G LTE Cat 6 technology, which means crazy speeds – 300 / 50 Mbps. Other shared features include the Exynos 7420 octa-core processor (Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5Ghz), 3GB of RAM LPDDR4 and the internal storage: 32/64/128GB.
In the battery department, the Galaxy S6 comes with a 2,550 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S6 Edge has a slightly larger battery – 2,600 mAh. The Galaxy S6 is incredibly thin and lite as well, it measures 6.8mm and weighs 138 grams. The S6 Edge weighs 132 grams at its only 7mm thickness. The craftmanship of these devices is exceptional.
Samsung hasn’t said much about S6’s price tag or availability, but we know that both smartphones will be available globally from April 10, in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz and Green Emerald.
