Motorola has been among the first major Android OEMs to announce its Android 5.0 Lollipop update schedule for its current line of smartphones, and it looks like both generations of the Moto G (2013 & 2014) are now receiving the Lollipop bits.
The update bears the 220.21.28 build number and is currently rolling out in phases to the both Moto G generations in the US and to the first gen (2013) via OTA channels. From the looks of it, Motorola has apparently been quite busy squashing and ironing out the bugs considering the rather long period ‘soak’ test. No changelogs were posted but the new firmware does bring all the goodies from Android 5.0 such as the new ART runtime along with the usual set of updated Motorola apps.

Motorola hasn’t yet commented on the availability of the update in other countries but it’s very likely a matter of days before the respective builds hit OTA servers in the rest of the world.
