With a little over a month remaining before Mobile World Congress unfolds in Barcelona, Spain this March, manufacturers such as Huawei is intensively working on developing the next best thing in smartphones. Huawei, as one of the top 5 key manufacturers in the world (Samsung and Apple leading the rankings), cannot miss an opportunity like MWC2015 to stay in the spotlight.
The rumour has it that the Chinese OEM will be introducing its latest flagship phone, the Ascend P8 in a press event in March, although Huawei has never launched high-end devices so early in the year. Considering that both Samsung and HTC, and probably other major manufacturers are going to unveil flagship handsets early next month, Huawei likely to pull an ace up of its sleeve.
Huawei Ascend P8 Specs:
Huawei Ascend P8 sequel to Ascend P7 or whatever its final marketing name will be, is said to feature a 5.2-inch IPS Full HD display, which will likely be powered by a HiSillicon Kirin 930 octa-core 64-bit processor and backed-up by 3GB of RAM. The operating system of choice remains Android for Huawei and we will expect to see Ascend P8 run Lollipop flavour. P8 will feature 4G LTE and borrow Ascend Mate 7 fingerprint technology, all for an affordable rumoured price of CNY 2999, about £320 / 415 Euros / $480.
