LG G2 upgrade to Android 5.0 now being rolled out in South Korea, global rollout may start soon too.
LG Electronics own 2013 flagship smartphone, the G2, is finally making a huge step forward with the upgrade to Android 5.0, which is now being rolled out in South Korea. The software is available for download through all three major carriers in the country: SK Telecom, LG U+ and KT Telecom.
Aside from the big jump from Android 4.4 Kitkat to Android 5.0 operating system version, the LG G2 will enjoy most of the UI features that we’ve seen on the LG G3 (2014 flagship smartphone), with better efficiency optimization, energy-saving and more.
If you are wondering, the update will be available globally as soon as LG gives the go ahead, however it may take up to 30 to 60 more days, or even more before actual roll out, depending on the region and local carriers.
