Nvidia has been pretty quick at announcing their Lollipop update plans with the SHIELD tablet promised to get the Android 5.0 treatment by the end of this month. Looks like Nvidia was spot on, the company has officially started to roll out the new Lollipop builds to the LTE-enabled version of its beefy tablet.
This rollout follows the WiFi model which received the new firmware last week. The OTA is currently seeding in the US and brings a tons of improvements, bug fixes and numerous improvements at the system level, such as the ART runtime as well a new Nvidia application dubbed “Nvidia Dabber” which is essentially a robust graphics editing tool.
Android 5.0 Lollipop will most definitely enhance the tablet’s performance and well as the battery life with Project Volta.
