Another day, another leak, this time in the form of a mid-market Samsung device, despite the prime name, the Galaxy Core Prime seems to let itself down in some areas, notably the camera, although as a compensation it will come with an LTE radio.
Although, we’re still at the leak/rumour stage Indian retailer Flipkart already have the device listed on their site, although noticeably missing LTE, with the specs not being officially confirmed yet, they could change at any time.
The Galaxy Core Prime (SM-G360H) comes with a 4.5 inch PLS LCD display with a WVGA resolution, under the hood is a 1.3 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, the Galaxy Core Prime will also come with Android KitKat 4.4.2 out of the box. Round the back is a 5 megapixel shooter capable of capturing 1080p video, round the front is a 2 megapixel camera. You can expand the storage by up to 8GB as well for good measure.
There’s no official info on how much this thing will cost, but it is listed on an Indian site for INR 8,500 which roughly translates to $140 or €110 although, there’s nothing to suggest this is official pricing.
Samsung has recently released another Prime phone, the Galaxy Grand Prime, in India.
