Moto G

Motorola have a busy day today, releasing several products all in one go. Here, we talk about the new Moto G, which has been given a stunning update along with it’s big brother the Moto X.

New Moto G adds more neat features to the already awesome package of the original Moto G:

Last year’s Moto G was a big seller, being a mid-range phone with good hardware capabilities. This year, Motorola have upped their game by giving their mid-range phone a high end update.

First off, the device has been made bigger, to 5″ HD screen and has also been given a boost inside. Running a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Processor with 1GB of RAM, this Moto G won’t be slow. With the two front facing stereo speakers (similar to HTC’s flagship device) and an 8MP camera, this phone will be a worthy contender to other phones on the market.

The new Moto G will also be able to take advantage of the Moto Maker studio by Motorola, giving the user a choice of housing and styles (at extra cost) and making the Motorola line of phones stylish and exciting, after what was a rather dull line-up style wise last year.

Unlike the new Moto X, the Moto G will come preloaded with Android 4.4.4 KitKat, but will get 0 delay updates and be updated to Android 5.0 Lemon Meringue Pie (LMP) as soon as it comes out. The reason behind this is, presumably, because the Moto G is being released now, where as the Moto X comes later this month, which could suggest that Android L will be coming later this month, but that’s not official.

Starting at £144.99 for 8GB in Black and White and available today from today via Amazon (although we couldn’t find a listing for it). Shells for the Moto G will be available come October, and higher storage models are available from Motorola from the end of September.
